How to Tag Facebook Friends in Your Status and Posts

On 14Th September Facebook added a twitter like tagging feature using which you can tag friends, brands, events and groups in status updates and other posts.

So next time if you want to post something and want to refer a name in your friend list then just type "@" and the auto suggest feature will help find the name.

So what is the use of it?Facebook blog post says:
People often update their status to reflect their thoughts and feelings, or to mention things they feel like sharing.Sometimes that includes referencing friends, groups or even events they are attending — for instance, posting "Grabbing lunch with Meredith Chin" or "I'm heading to Starbucks Coffee Company — anyone want some coffee?".

If you tag a friend ,then your friend will get a notification, as well as a post in the wall.Your friend will also have the option to remove tags of himself from your posts. Some people are complaining about the performance -it is taking a lot of time to load the list first time.
