PDF viewer in Google Search results
Everyone is familiar with "View as HTML" link for a PDF file that comes with google search results.Google automatically converts the PDF files to html files which can be opened by clicking the link "View as HTML" that you see along with the search result.
Today I spotted another link "view" for some of the PDFs inside the google search page.Clicking on the "view" link opens the PDF in a Google Docs URL which means this uses the same PDF viewer as Google Docs. What is interesting is that it does not
look like on the fly conversion as the URL contains "q=cache" ,meaning it's a cached version. Also this option is shown against some of the results only.
It seems this feature was added some time back. This is certainly useful to quickly see the document without opening it in PDF or HTML.
